Excellent, fresh food and friendly service in an off-the-beaten-path location.
We ordered the Chicken in Orange Peel Sauce, the Mongolian beef, Vegetable Fried Rice and Mushroom and Vegetable platter. All dishes tasted freshly-made and featured a good balance of textures. Your standard Chinese restaurant items in a family-friendly atmosphere. No unnecessary trendy flash or weirdness. I'll definitely make this a staple whenever visiting Chinatown. -

People come here for the Cantonese and Taishanese comfort food. Like steam pork and salted fish patty and bean curd stir-fried with vegetables. I love their won-ton noodle soup and beef tendon noodle soup. They make a good Peking style pork chop dish. It's a small restaurant but a really good place to get some home cooking restaurant style when you're not in a mood to cook at home.

This is the last time to eat here. If I could give zero stars I would. Came here for lunch were the dishes are smaller and discounted.
We ordered 3 dishes. The first dish came out after 15 mins. We started eating and waited for the next two. Meanwhile a table that came in after us ordered a dinner for 6 had received 2 dishes before our second dish came. Our second dish came 30 mins. after the first dish. After 45 mins after receiving the first dish we were waiting for the waitress so we could cancel and get the check. That's when the last dish came.
The food was less than par and could have saved the headache and had a full price lunch elsewhere. And paying discounted price doesn't get the same quality of taste and preparation. The salted fish fried rice was so salty we mixed a bowl of white rice with it. Yes the salted fish made it salty but they added more salt to the dish. The salt & pepper squid had so many jalapeño peppers we barely got much squid. The mustard green with beef chow fun had so much gravy that asking for crispy chow fun was a waste. Only a few pieces didn't sit in the gravy so it wasn't soggy and still had a bit of crunch.

I don't know how many times I've eaten here, but this Cantonese place is a family favorite. They generally do a pretty good job executing fresh and tasty seafood dishes (especially the live shrimps and steamed live oysters). The cage-free chicken is what they're known for, but I find the to be inconsistent. Sometimes it's overcooked, and other times it's perfect. The place and atmosphere looks like a total hole in the wall, but don't charge hole in the wall prices -- nonetheless worth it because the food is very good here. Total bill before tip for 12 people was about $240. Look at the pictures of items I've ordered in the past... I highly recommend most, if not all of them!

We came to this restaurant because Triple Crowns was too crowded. We had the most delicious fried rice, fish fillet, cashew chicken, etc. We were truly impressed. We had a good feeling when we saw the restaurant full of Chinese customers, and we were right.
